Emily up a tree

Dscf4217_4

Just wanted to introduce you to a new friend of mine, Emily. I made her for a very special little princess's birthday and I must say I really enjoyed both making her and the end result. I am always amazed when I manage to translate what I have in my head into something which I really like as an end result - so often they are abandoned mid stream.

Anyway if you are interested in owning your own little Emily, who whoever, just pop ove to my shop blog.

Future Fruit

The garden is doing really well this year. We have a bumper crop of peas, are harvesting the courgettes most days, the odd strawberry here and there and the pics above tell of the promises from the blackberry and loganberry bushes.

Batman, Batman and Jam

Dscf2534

Bet you didn't know that Batman loved fruit picking so much! Last Wednesday the boys and I ventured out to a pick-your-own fruit farm which we have never been to before and boy were we pleased that we did. There were strawberries galore, the most delicious raspberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants, gooseberries and rhubard.

As you can see we made the most of the fruit picking and then...

...made yummy strawberry and rhubarb jam which we have packed a jar of for our holiday in Donegal next week. We picked so much rhubarb that I gave some to my mum who made great rhubarb and ginger jam too!

PS the reason I had two Batmans/Batmen(?) was that Noah had been given his T-shirt for his birthday but when he went to put it on that day Sethie was beside himself because he wanted one too - so mummy dutifully whipped one up to look exactly the same from an old t-shirt some felt. Thank God for fabric and sewing machines!

Pencils cases

Dscf2219 Dscf2220

For any of you who remember the pencil case which I created for Noah at the start of P1, they have started to breed...

I took Noah's to a craft show and was amazed at how many people ordered them - with a specially created girl's version.

Christmas comes but twice a year

Last week Seth and I were trying to think of something to do with our play dough and hey presto he came up with a lovely "Ho ho ho scene". Perfectly on season etc... He was so proud of it and insisted in taking it to show daddy at work!

Now off to find somewhere to store it until Christmas!
